DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP FOR THE REGION 6 YOUTH TEAM TOURNAMENT!
LETTER OF INTENT IS IN THE BLUE BOX ON THE RIGHT.
FAX OR EMAIL BY 6/29 IF YOU WISH TO BE ON THE TEAM.

ALSO NOTE:

There will be a tack stall competition for this year. The stalls will all be together up in Barn C. If any of you have been to the NEQHA show in July, you will know will remember the set up for this competition. The stalls will be near the front of the building, and there will be no charge for the single stall. You will have the entire inside of the stall to decorate and the front of the stall, but please, nothing in the aisle way! And the theme can be anything ~ be creative! But safe! The stall does not need to contain tack......ok.

Parade of states......And remember, no horses in the parade! You are limited to dogs etc....and if you make a mess in the arena, you must clean it up! Remember the fire codes please!

Be sure to renew your membership ASAP!! Points you earn, meetings you attend, or fundraisers in which you participate while you are NOT a member DO NOT COUNT! Please renew NOW so you don't miss out on anything!

Clare Bornstein of Stonington entered a drawing contest sponsored by YOUNG RIDER MAGAZINE, and she won the 12 and up category. She drew a beautiful head picture of Mary Bishop's mare, Miss Winter Gale. Clare will receive a show headstall made by Weaver Leather for her win. (We'll post a copy of Clare's winning drawing as soon as we get it.)

The CQHYA Scholarship Deadline is May 31. All graduating seniors are encouraged to apply. See the bottom of the Blue Box on the right for the application and guidelines.

The 2008 AQHYA Youth Excellence Seminar and Annual Convention will be held June 19 – June 21 in Amarillo, TX. This is an absolutely fabulous, fun-filled event, not to be missed! For those who are thinking of applying for the World Show and the Congress teams, be sure to read the qualifying guidelines in the CQHYA Handbook. These teams are such fun, and we want to include as many members are possible.

AQHYA Member Kelsey Urban goes to thrift stores to buy jackets, which she applies Austrian crystals too and resales. She has made about $400 and one-third of that money has been donated to the children in Mozambique to protect them from malaria.
